Health questions, safely

AI can explain medical words and help you write questions for your doctor. It can be wrong and doesn't know your history.

Key points

What the video says

AI can help with health questions. It can explain a medical word from your doctor, or on a test result, in plain, simple language.

Before a visit, it can help you write down your questions, so you don't forget any while you're in the room.

But AI can be wrong, and it doesn't know your health history, your other medicines, or your allergies.

So never start, stop, or change a medicine because an AI said so.

Take that question to your doctor or pharmacist. They can check what's right for you.

If it's an emergency, don't type it into a chatbot. Call nine-one-one right away.

And keep your name, birth date, and insurance numbers out of it. The AI doesn't need them to answer.
